The only thing i like in this image is the fact that the building on the left looks drawn: the fine borders, the crosses, the alternating green-values etc. Its funny.
I don’t understand much of what’s said in these comments, and perhaps it’s all in jest, but I love this image, including the green structure which I think is processed brilliantly. I also like how it borders the top and side of the frame.
When I shot this photo, I was standing on the platform of Bahnhof Friedrichstraße and thought, how cold did they redesign the “Neue Mitte” of this town.
And I just wanted to express this impression in one, two images.
This photo got nearly no post-processing. The colours were just like you see them here.
Ein Stückweit ist das natürlich auch “Bauen im Stil der Zeit”. Die Architektur ist kalt und abweisend, ja, aber sie ist nicht berlintypisch. Derartiges ist in den letzten Jahren praktisch überall entstanden. Ich sehe es ja gerade aus meinem Düsseldorfer Fenster …

Das ist genau das, was mich am unangenehmsten berührt: daß durch diesen Baustil Berlin und viele andere Städte ihr Gesicht verlieren. Man steigt an irgendeinem Bahnhof aus und weiß nciht mehr, wo man angekommen ist.
Bzw. ob überhaupt.
Ich kann mich genau erinnern: vor gar nicht mal zehn Jahren war da noch ein netter kleiner Park am Bahnhof Friedrichstr. Schade drum!
